 Phoenix - MD Series

Construction. The MD series is a full size machine designed for high sample out put. The Phoenix uses a modular system of construction so that whether your analysis program calls for 60,000 or 1000 samples per annum there is a Phoenix model whose design has been optimized to do just that.

Operation. Samples are dissolved and mixed into a lithium borate flux at temperatures ranging from 300 to 1600 degrees Celsius. (Typical fusion temperature is 1050 degrees Celsius) This is done over oxygen-enriched flames using specially designed burners. The Mouldable machine uses a mould which incorporates a crucible shape. The mixing and moulding is done in the mouldable. When mixing is complete the molten material is cooled in the mouldable. The bead is then removed using a suction cup or similar.
