Construction
The Phoenix uses a
modular system of construction so that whether your analysis program
calls for 60,000 or 1000 samples per annum there is a Phoenix model
whose design has been optimized to do just that.
Operation.
Samples are dissolved and mixed into a
lithium borate flux at temperatures ranging from 300 to 1600 degrees
Celsius. (Typical fusion temperature is 1050 degrees Celsius) This is
done over oxygen-enriched flames using specially designed burners. The
sample is automatically poured into pre-heated molds or beakers and cooled
in-situ. |
